Masterclass of Pianist Antonina Suhanova at JVLMA

On October 16, 2018 at 10AM the Piano Department of Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music organizes a masterclass of pianist Antonina Suhanova in Room 409 of JVLMA. Latvian pianist Antonina Suhanova has performed on international stages since 2000. She studied with Gunta Boza at Jazeps Medins Secondary Music School and with Juris Kalnciems at Jazeps Vitols Latvian Academy of Music. Antonina has appeared as a soloist with orchestras in Latvia, UK and Russia, collaborating with such distinguished conductors as Andris Nelsons and Vladimir Spivakov, amongst others. Antonina has appeared in renowned festivals and venues in the UK, Italy, Germany, Netherlands, Austria and Russia. In 2016 she made her debut performance at the Barbican Hall with the Guildhall Symphony Orchestra. Antonina is the winner of Hattori Foundation Senior Award, Kenneth Loveland Gift and Help Musicians UK Award. She has participated in numerous masterclasses of world-renowned pianists, including Vladimir Ashkenazy, Richard Goode, Robert Levin, Matti Raekallio and Yefim Bronfman. Recently Antonina Suhanova completed the Artist Diploma course at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama under the tutelage of Ronan O’Hora. In 2018/2019 she is a fellow of GSMD.
