Jana Janišauska attended Jānis Ivanovs Rēzekne Secondary Music School; in 2016 she graduated a professional bachelor’s study programme and in 2019 obtained an academic master’s degree in musicology from Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music (JVLMA), specializing in music psychology. Currently Jana Janišauska is a student of JVLMA academic doctor’s study programme “Musicology”, undertaking research activities in the systematic musicology branch and participating in the international research group “Music and Brain” scientific research project, analysing “Music Performance Test” data.
Since 2013, Jana Janišauska actively participates in pedagogical and academic work – from 2013 to 2016 she taught music theory at Bolderāja Music and Arts School, from 2015 to 2016 she was a music teacher at the “Open Jūrmala School”, from 2017 to 2019 she was a teacher and manager of the Music Development Space “Sound Circle”. From 2018 Jana Janišauska is a guest lecturer of the JVLMA Musicology Department and since 2019 leads the JVLMA Humanities Department.
Since 2008, Jana undertakes various managerial activities - she has collaborated with the festival “Summertime – Invites Inese Galante”, concert management agency “Aira Laivina Artists”, has organized classical chamber music concerts for pre-school children “Baby Fest” and the festival “Latvian New Music Days”.
