This is the second publication of the series European Voices: Audiovisuals of the Department for Folk Music Research and Ethnomusicology of the mdw-University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, which is realised in cooperation with the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music in Riga. The start was made in 2018 with the publication of Notes from Latvia: Multipart Music in the Field (a book and double CD) by Anda Beitāne. The series is closely connected with the work of the Research Centre for European Multipart Music (EMM) and is intended as a platform on which are presented audio and video recordings of multipart music and dance practices in Europe, primarily from fieldwork, with specific and comprehensive explanations drawn up in close cooperation with music and dance makers.
