Professor, Department of Chamber Ensemble and Piano Accompaniment
Born January 31, 1961, in Riga, Latvia. Graduated in 1985 from the Latvian State Conservatory, Valdis Jancis` piano class. In 1990 graduated from assistentship in chamber ensemble at Moscow Gnesin Institute of Music Education, Prof. Fedorenko` class.
Since 1990 teacher of chamber ensemble at Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music, since 2003 – Associated Professor at Chamber ensemble and Piano accompaniment Department.
Member of Latvian Philharmonic Piano Trio (1992-1999). Collaboration with outstanding Latvian singers, conductors, Riga Chamber Musicians string quartet. Project Travelling Schubertiade including performances also outside Riga.
Performances in Germany, France, Belgium, Norway, Poland, Sweden, Israel, Canda and Japan.
First performer of many works created by Latvian composers (Pēteris Vasks, Maija Einfelde, Imants Zemzaris, Juris Ābols, Andris Dzenītis, Vilnis Šmidbergs). Recordings on the Latvian Radio and CD`s.
Masterclasses in ArtEZ Conservatorium Enschede (2007, 2008, 2009).
