Jens Emil Holm has since 2017 held the position as principal trumpet at Sinfonietta Riga. Since 2020 he has also been principal trumpet of the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra. 

He began his studies at The Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus under Kristian Steenstrup and Martin Schuster. In 2011 he got his Bachelor degree from Aarhus. As an Erasmus exchange student in 2012 he trained at the Conservatori del Liceu under the distinguished professors Luis Gonzalez and Josep Casado. In 2016 he received his Master's degree from The Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen with Nikolaj Viltoft and Jonas Wiik.

Jens Emil has worked with most of the professional Orchestras in both Denmark and Latvia including The Royal Danish Orchestra, Aalborg Symphony Orchestra and Aarhus Symphony Orchestra. 

In addition to playing Jens Emil is very passionate about teaching and coaching. He has worked in several music schools and has held a numerous amount of masterclasses in academies throughout Europe including The Royal College of Music.
