Docent, Department of Accompanists
Lelde Tīrele works as an accompanist at JVLMA since 2004. She was appointed a lecturer of Chamber Ensemble and Piano Accompaniment Department in 2007. Lelde Tīrele was born in Riga and studied piano performance at Emīls Dārziņš Secondary Music School. She was a piano student of prof. Ilze Graubiņa until 2001 and in 2005 she received her Master’s Degree from JVLMA after studies with prof. Arnis Zandmanis. She studied chamber ensemble with prof. Jānis Maļeckis and piano accompaniment with Dace Kļava. Lelde Tīrele has further improved her skills through masterclasses with A. Ozoliņš, P. Geniušas, V. Merzhanov.
As a soloist and an accompanist Lelde Tīrele often performs in Latvia and in other European countries. As an accompanist she has participated in many international competitions for young cello players and has received numerous diplomas for her work.
