Steffen Geldner works as a project manager for digital innovation at Popakademie Baden Württemberg, University of Popular Music and Music Business, in Mannheim, Germany. Among others, he is responsible for the studies of the Bachelor courses in music business with a digital focus. He teaches subjects surrounding topics such as social media marketing, digital advertising or web technologies.

In this workshop, Steffen Geldner will go into some of the most relevant tools when it comes to current digital music marketing: Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and streaming services. Steffen will show how the channels’ algorithms work and how you can optimize your content: How do I post YouTube Links on Facebook? Why am I not getting as much engagement as I should? What are successful musicians and their marketing teams doing differently? When and how should I share my content? How do I get into playlists on Spotify?

IMPORTANT: Please note that the parts of this workshop build on each other and should not be visited separately.
