Improvisational state of mind in action

On March 18 at 4 pm and 9.30 pm Latvian time, Robert Levin's online master classes and concert lecture from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London will take place.

Pianist Robert Levin (US), arguably the world’s leading classical improviser as well as a Mozart scholar, performer and composer  will offer virtual masterclass and concert-lecture as the International Chair of the Centre for Creative Performance and Classical Improvisation of Guildhall School of Music & Drama on March 18 at 16.00 and 21.30 Latvian time.

At 16.00 Robert Levin will work with three Guildhall students: J.S. Bach Partitas for keyboards No.4 and No.6 and Adagio & Fugue from Sonata for violin solo No. 3.

At 21.30  concert-lecture and panel discussion.

Professor Levin will perform a collection of movements from the Baroque and Classical eras, demonstrating different possibilities of performing the same work while remaining faithful to its compositional structure, spirit and content. The performance will be followed by a panel discussion between Robert Levin and students and teachers of Guildhall School.
