Preview Porto aims to build a space for reflection and discussion around the Opera in the 21st century, its challenges and opportunities.
This has been designed as a forum where professors of our member institutions, professionals of the sector, and our students will have the opportunity to exchange their thoughts and present some newly created micro-operas /90``-9`/.
Each school was offered an idea – thematic impulse: Antwerpen – ORFEO, Stockholm – LA BOHÈME, Maastricht – Don Giovanni, Parma – CARMEN, Riga – FAUST, Porto – COSÌ FAN TUTTE, Vilnius – TRISTAN UND ISOLDE, International group – OTELLO.
JVLMA is represented by young composers Gaitis Jānis Pujāts /Docent Ēriks Ešenvalds/ and Ernests Valts Circenis /Docent Jānis Petraškevičs/ (International group).
