On September 15, 2021 Elisso Bolkvadze visited JVLMA.
JVLMA Rector, Professor Guntars Prānis, Vice-Rector for Academic Work, Professor Valdis Bernhofs and Vice-Rector for Scientific and Creative Work, Professor Anda Beitāne welcomed Member of Parliament Elisso Bolkvadze. Musical greetings were presented in JVLMA Great Hall. Lecturer of Piano Department, pianist Andrejs Osokins and vocal music student Valters Gleške (accompanist – Veronika Rinkule) performed masterpieces of Latvian classical music – Latvian folk song arrangement by Jāzeps Vītols “Sing nicely nightingale”, “Tenderness and sin” and “Daina” by Jānis Mediņš and “Melancholic waltz” by Emīls Dārziņš.
Later JVLMA rectorate and E. Bolkvadze went to Senate Hall where they discussed questions about study process in Music academy, newly established programs, infrastructure etc. JVLMA’s and Tbilisi State Conservatoire’s very successful collaboration created a discussion of future perspectives.
Latvian Music Academy is an excellent structure for the formation and development of future musicians. At the meeting we discussed the enhancement and prospects of our cooperation,”
