
Associate professor, Department of Chamber Ensemble and Piano Accompaniment
Dace Kļava graduated Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music after studies with professor Ilze Graubiņa. Currently she is the Head of Accompanists Department; she also works as an associated professor of Chamber Ensemble and Piano Accompaniment Department and as an accompanist of Vocal Music and Conducting Departments of Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music. Dace Kļava received a diploma at Heino Eller International Piano Competition and as an accompanist worked with such conductors as A.Dmitriev, T.Kaljuste, P. Kao, A. Altinoglu, F. Layer, K. Minkovsky and K. Woodward. She has given performances with instrumentalists, vocalists and the Latvian Radio Choir in Latvia and abroad and has acted as an accompanist at numerous international conducting and singing competitions.
