Ida Losberga graduated from the faculty of Foreign Languages at State University of Latvia (now: University of Latvia) in 1987, specializing in French language and literature and earning the qualification of a language teacher, interpreter and philologist (qualification equal to the professional Master’s degree).
In 2005 she received a Master’s degree at Latvian University of Agriculture (now: Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies) by defending her thesis “Italian language studies at Latvian music education institutions”.
She teaches Italian, French (since 1999) and Russian (since 2006) languages at Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music (JVLMA) in bachelor, master and doctoral study programmes as well as the Erasmus exchange program.
Ida Losberga is a consultant at the Science and Research Centre of JVLMA and takes part in international scientific conferences, projects, master classes and courses. She has been awarded by JVLMA for her pedagogical work and contribution to the organization of 150th anniversary of birth of Jāzeps Vītols.
