Lecturer, Head of Department of Accompanists

Liga Karklina began her piano studies at Emils Darzins Secondary Music School with teachers Ilze Juriksone and Sandra Jalaņecka and graduated Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music after studies with proffesor Arnis Zandmanis and associate proffesor Dace Kļava.

During her Master Studies she worked as accompanist in Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music and from 2015 she became a lecturer in the Department of Accompanist. Works at Pārdaugavas Music and Art School as the accompanist since 2008.

And Since 2013 she cooperates with Latvian National Symphonic orchestra as Keybord section musician.
Liga Karklina performed with Latvian State choir Latvia, State chamber orchestra Sinfonietta Riga, Wind orchestra Riga and many outstanding instrumentalists and singers.

She has joined many masterclasses with well known proffesors like Philip Moll, Arkady Sevidov, Irena Uss-Armoniene, Karola Theill and others. As an accompanist has participated in many national and international competitions for instrumental music and vocal music and has received awards for her accompanist skills.
