Associated professor, Head of Dance Pedagogy Class
Sandra Vītola, Associate Professor, Head of Dance Pedagogy Department of Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music, is a professional ballet artist, choreographer and pedagogue. In 2014 she obtained a doctorate (PhD) with a doctoral thesis Formation of Interpretation Skills among Dance Teachers during the Classical Dance studies.
Professional development has been promoted in studies by Dance arts professionals in Russia – The Bolshoi Theatre, The Stanislavski and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Academic Music Theatre, The Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet, in masterclasses Finland, Lithuania and Latvia.
Additionaly Sandra Vītola is a freelance artist at the Latvian National Opera and Ballet and a choreographer-artistic director assistant at folk dance group “Dancis”.
With both these entities has performed in Latvia and abroad (China, Spain, Italy, France, England, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Croatia, Russia, Lithuania, Estonia…)
