Surprisingly open and touching is the direct and passionate documentary by Dutch director Hester Overmars. It is about humanity and choices, about stage partners who are not your family, but are more than just colleagues and friends, about losses and the most happy moments that the process of creating music gives.
Almost an hour-long film "Artemis: The Neverending Quartet" emotionally illuminates the story of one of today's most active and perhaps most outstanding string quartets. The stories and events quite clearly mark the common ideals, which often transcend the boundaries of human weakness, and the decisions made, which not only strengthen the inner harmony of this musical family, but also mark the next common peaks.
