Starting today, applications are open for the international conference on artistic research in music, DOCTORS IN PERFORMANCE 2027, organized by JVLMA.
The Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music (JVLMA) invites music professionals – both current doctoral students and those holding a doctoral degree – to participate in the 7th international artistic research conference in music, "Doctors in Performance," which will take place from September 1–3, 2027, at JVLMA.
The primary target audience for the conference includes doctoral students and postdoctoral researchers engaged in artistic research in music. Because "Doctors in Performance" heavily emphasizes musical performance, proposals for lecture-recitals are particularly encouraged, alongside paper presentations covering relevant fields of artistic research.
The conference will be conducted in English. The keynote speakers will be Dr. Arabella Pare (Karlsruhe University of Music, Germany) and Associate Professor DMA Krists Auznieks (JVLMA).
